I bring a thermoelectric cooler with me to cons that are drivable. Its not as nice as having an actual refrigerator but its plug in and keeps things that need to stay cold cold.

Yes true and I’m sure you’re aware but just a reminder for those who aren’t, thermoelectric coolers are not a substitute for a fridge. It won’t make food cold, so there’s still the risk of spoilage and food bourne illness.

It was an interesting experience watching the progression of my symptoms. Was fine at 4am then by 7 I had body aches and was cold as hell yet radiating heat like crazy with a 105° fever, but was perfectly content under the blankets and watching tv. Then by 11am the headache started and that’s what really really knocked me over in my butt.

There's no info at all on the webpage about this. I don't follow social media and there doesn't appear to be any email newsletter to sign up for. Which is making it very hard to plan for the convention. I check the webpage every week to see if it's open yet. But all the other furpocalypse cons I've been to I always miss the opening because of how short notice it is.

I'm sorry if you had a bad experience with any of the staff at the hotel, I'm not sure why they would tell you that but as I was there just on Wednesday as I looked over our contract I can assure you that the room block will be opening at our rate and the dates we choose.

When booking a regular room at a con, the prices for a king or a double bed situation usually costs the same

Double mask is good. I'll be going with n95s they seem to work the best.

I do N95s at work with a brightly colored cloth one over it (so as not to fukk up the fit). Makes it look less clinical, ppl dig it, and I stay protected. ^^
